A Day Like A Year
A Documentary by Boris Krstinic

Saturday Oct 7 - 1:45pm
Screening Ends at 2:50pm
DOUBLE FEATURE WITH “Ali Kabuk Was Here”

More than 230 different species of birds live in the the nature park “Lonjsko polje” in Croatia.

The park has two important sites : Cigoc – the first European stork village and Krapje, an architectural heritage village.

“Lonjsko polje” is famous in Europe because local people are still living in the swamp, in harmony with nature.

The film shows in a one day impression, what happens in this swamp during a full year, with all changes of people and animals and their activity in this environment.

The film is without text; you can hear only sounds of the swamp and traditional songs from the area.

From The Filmmaker -

“As a child I spent a lot of time on the river shores where I enjoy ed myself in the swamps biodiversity.

That life is disappearing with urbanization.

But, only 100 kilometers to the south I found another nature paradise where animals and people still live in harmony.

The untouched paradise of Lonjsko polje.

My dream came through after forty years, and I found the place where I can collect pictures from the disappearing world.”

Why You Should See This Film

Because it is stunning, and beautiful, and peaceful to experience.
